STANDISH MAINE 2010 RESULTS
Standish Maine was a welcome site (pardon the pun) for the drags after a long winter. The weather was good to us this year with only a small amount of wind at our backs going down the liquid Quarter Mile.All of the weekends racing was tight and consistant , with most of the finishes with in a foot of each other. Neil Tardanico ended up ousting APBA national champion Glen Taylor for the win in Lake Racer on saturday, only for it to turn it around on him sunday with Glen Taylor putting Neil on the trailer for the win in Super Stock. Very close racing in the Factory Stock class on saturday with Christine Walkden sending Larry Audette to the Trailer, but then having to face APBA champ Jack Hayes in the third round which sent her to the pits in the fifth round .Jack Hayes was able to hang onto his lead when put up against long time racer Lenny Audette, giving jack first place in the Factory Stock class. Factory modified was a interesting class on sunday with larry audette sending Christine Walkden to the pits in the in the fith round only after putting his son lenny on the trailer in the fourth round. It was anyones race for first place with Wayne Montigney and Jack Hayes batteling it out for the win in Factory Modified.After three rounds it was Wayne Montigney who came out on top in the factory Modified class.
